We offer a long-term Forest School program, lasting 5 hours one day each week, specifically designed for Home Educated or Flexi school children as a series of drop-off sessions.
We establish a small, nurturing group of children, fostering an environment where everyone has the opportunity to feel secure and enjoy our magnificent forest.
The forest provides a pleasant and relaxed setting conducive to learner-led exploration, where each child can explore, discover, and learn at their own pace according to their personal interests.
Each session is led by a qualified Forest School Leader. We observe each child and tailor sessions to their individual interests, allowing the content of each session to evolve based on the direction of their play. We collaborate to support and cultivate this play.
We offer lots of activities, ranging from group games, swinging or unwinding in a hammock, climbing trees, constructing shelters, engaging in natural crafts, connecting with and learning about nature.
Participants will learn new life skills, which may include campfire cooking, safe and proper tool use, building resilience, self-discovery, group communication, and community involvement. And, of course, there's plenty of fun to be had!
We are fully insured, and all staff members have been DBS checked and trained in safeguarding practices.
